Yea, who knows. On the one hand, I think the Japanese in general dislike the Chinese more than anyone, so maybe the starkness of the racial contrast isn't the most important thing. Also, they may very well get more South Asian visitors than white people, so maybe the former are better received.

But yea, I guess the more immediately we stand out as different probably the worse it'll feel.
