Well, sounds like you're being a little tongue-in-cheek, but I'll answer seriously and say: There might be something to that. I'm currently in Japan, and the food has gotten me rethinking a couple things.
One, I keep seeing reminders of how close something like lobster is to certain insects, so maybe the latter can be made into quite a tasty dish. They also eat every part of the animal here, which I think is a good practice. Moreover, protein is usually an accent on each meal; there's very little meat generally.
However, for me, I got the most inspired view of vegetarianism from my Indian ex-girlfriend. She never had meat and always had a very rich and delicious diet.
