Well, I agree with mostly everything you said, and the rest I want to be true, even if I’m not as certain.
I think history will view Biden quite favorably—with a notable exception of his handling of the Middle East. He gets overshadowed by his predecessor, Obama, and he gets overshadowed by the attention machine that is Trump, but he’s had quite a successful presidency. And while everyone gives Trump a pass on the economy and stuff because of Covid, Biden inherited massive issues as a result of Covid as well.
He’s just such a weak rhetorician at this stage of his life that his accomplishments aren’t championed as they should be. But I do think Biden will eke out a victory come November, and I think once the campaign is in full force, polling will start to reflect that. Hopefully that does all happen, and the scourge of MAGA is removed from American politics.
