The executive is responsible for enforcing laws and carrying them out. The legislative branch is responsible for enacting them, as well as determining where funds go. Congress has the “power of the purse.”

You said it again, that she should commit to doing something she doesn’t have the power to do. You’re also saying that Congress —the body that does have that power—should be censuring her? None of this makes any sense. Why are you fixated on her specifically?

They can go further right all they want, so long as they stay out of power.

Also, and this is the most important part of this comment, and which you neglected in the last response: What should we do instead?

You took issue with my accusation of not being pragmatic. What else are we to do in the next 3 months if not keep our country out of the hands of a would-be dictator?
