Thank you for your very kind message. I agree with you that everything happens for a reason. I don’t regret being the person I am at all. My favorite author, Ralph Waldo Emerson, has a great essay titled “Compensation.” It basically explores the phenomenon of how even when things change they stay largely equal. I think my life would have been significantly more comfortable if it hadn’t been for experiences like this, but I think I would’ve lost a depth of understanding and compassion with it. It was more of a curiosity that entered into a sad reflection — just wondering who I might’ve been. Thanks again, Chantell!
