Solid criticism is invaluable. My favorite English teacher was this curmudgeon who would tear our writing apart and failed 3/4th of the class. He was like something out of a movie. You’re an excellent writer and thinker, so if you ever find anything you feel is debatable or that can be improved upon in my writing, you’d be doing me a favor to share it with me.

The criticism I talked about here, however, is that self-serving criticism we all engage in (though myself more than most) to sound like we actually know something. I criticize 90% of what I see on television and have never even tried my hand at a screenplay, acting, or directing!
