But if, at any other time in history, you were presented with 2,000 interested suitors in one night, you'd likely be the most eligible bachelor/bachelorette in your city. This experience can skew your perception of relationships, is all I was really arguing.

But it sounds like she went based on personality than those markers of attractiveness, success, height, etc., that so many men and women nowadays consider requirements in a match.
