She wouldn't even have the power to stop the aid. The last one passed with over two-thirds support from Congress, so it would be veto proof.

She will want to get reelected for a second term, so she will still be bound by political considerations even while in office, though notably Trump won't.

Conservatives are frequently asked to pragmatically move towards the center. No one is going to advocate a move to the left by centrists on the basis of pragmatism because the center, by definition, is the place on the political spectrum that is the most palatable to the most people. The fringes are just that, fringes.

So you've been very clear on what I shouldn't do but in classic non-pragmatic style, offered no idea of what I should do. There is no viable candidate proposing an arms embargo, so I guess your answer is to not vote and just sit on my hands while things get a lot worse?

You know what happens if everyone takes the "harm reduction" route enough times in a row? Things just get better and better and better over time. In the words of Kamala Harris, "We're not going back!"
