She never really "expressed remorse" in any way. She seemed to be going out of her way a little more to do things for me or be sweet, and from that I could tell she was sorry.
Either way, it's not as if I was refusing to forgive her at this point. The wheels had been set in motion for her to move out, and I would have had to verbally intervene in that. If things were to change, it was not enough for me to simply let it go. I would've had to actively tell her it was okay now and not to go.
I couldn't bring myself to say, "It's okay. It's behind us." when she couldn't bring herself to directly express remorse in any way.
