People love to complain about the present, always harping about how things are worse nowadays. But, to me, the point you made is one of the truest criticisms of the current culture. I personally feel an addiction to the fast-paced flow of information that technology brings. Without nuance, society becomes a dangerous place. Every stigma, judgment, and war would be unraveled in an instant if we were able to think long and hard about it en masse. Frankly, it worries me that we’ll progress towards even less critical thinking.
