Me: I go to the gym almost every day.

You: Going to the gym when you have a cold is bad for you! That's compulsive.

Me: I never said I go when I have a cold.

You: You heavily insinuated it!

-------------------------------------

Me saying "I often engage in x practices to garner my date's interest" in no way shape or form implies that I still do that even when I have no desire to garner their interest. In fact, it's the exact scenario where I wouldn't engage in x.

If you take the fact that they may still have wanted to go on a second date as evidence that I must have pulled out all the stops, then that's silly. People can certainly still want to go on a second date without a hand being placed on their back at some point over the course of an evening.

Anyways, now that you've wormed your way from "you put a hand on their back" to "you still engage in your general routine" and from "you said it" to "you heavily insinuated it," it's obvious you'll say whatever so long as it doesn't include owning up to making false accusations.

I'm done going back and forth with you. I hope your next effort to pass righteous judgement on some other internet stranger has more validity to the criticism.
