James, what sources do you consider reliable? Because these are reliable sources.

That example represents a feature, not a glitch. The Laken Riley Act was passed so that they could go around due process in regards to migrants, deporting them when they're charged with a crime instead of actually being found guilty of one.

In this case, a mere tattoo is considered enough evidence, and this is not an exception to the rule. It's explicit ICE policy to deem people gang members for something as commonplace and anodyne as a Michael Jordan tattoo.

This is directly from ICE, so I'd imagine this source cannot be called into question:

"Individuals are confirmed as gang members if they admit membership in a gang; have been convicted of violating Title 18 USC 521 or any other federal or state law criminalizing or imposing civil consequences for gang-related activity; or if they meet certain other criteria such as having tattoos identifying a specific gang or being identified as a gang member by a reliable source."

And you know what, if they wanted to deport people on the basis of evidence that flimsy, I'd still be against it, but I wouldn't make as much of a fuss. Except now, "deportation" no longer means to be returned to your home country, it means confinement in a detention center in Cuba, beyond legal aid, beyond Constitutional protections, and beyond the eyes of the media.

This is so obviously wrong, and I think you know that, which is why you've kept on about the sources instead of addressing the actual issue. I have no idea why you'd feel compelled to defend an illegal and immoral internment camp for immigrants, even if they did come here illegally but especially where it concerns those who came here legally and have no real evidence of having done a thing wrong.
