I’ve had a few doctors respond now, if you want to check the other comments!

I’m glad to hear that you at least are happy with the medical attention you’re getting.

And that’s definitely the truth, the patient is who really has to do the work. But even on that, simple educative practices could be helpful. I can’t recall a doctor ever asking me what my diet was like.

I talk to people everyday who are totally informed on what the latest findings are in terms of nutrition. There’s a million fad diets out there, and if care was more thorough, doctors inevitably have a face-to-face with everyone. They could clear those misconceptions up one at a time and get people on their way to leading healthier lives.

And, again, I say this not with an aim of blaming doctors, but of blaming a system that for some reason incentivizes rushing people through their check ups.
