It's 100% an issue. And now with Trump back in office it's getting significantly worse. He's already made it so that you can refuse to hire people on the basis of race if you work for the federal government, and he's coerced a wide variety of companies to role back policies that aim to make things fair for minority groups.
He also wants to give police officers total immunity, so that they'll be protected when they engage in violence against people (which, of course, is the whole reason "Black Lives Matter" started).
Elon is doing nazi salutes and literally giving nazi-esque speeches in Germany. His being the richest person and largest single donor in our last election is evidence of a racism problem.
