I'm sure! That makes sense to me because the way I understand it is that Japan did way more horrible things to the Chinese people than Germany did. Heck, an ex Nazi was something of a hero at Nanjing, setting up a safety zone and saving some 200,000 people, if I'm not mistaken.
But the U.S. was brought into the war by a range of crippling surprise attacks by the Japanese. Some of our bloodiest battles were against the Japanese. We adds loads of soldiers killed--sometimes in gruesome ways, like starvation, by the Japanese. And we had to close out the war by forcing them into surrender.
There's no real reason I can see why our history should be more focused on the Germans.
