I don't think this is a fair characterization.

I want somebody who shares my interests--just like someone who's obsessed with traveling wants a partner who is down to traverse the globe with them, or someone who's life's work has been dedicated to music might want a partner who has a similar appreciation for the art form.

I don't think that's really too much to ask for, and I don't think it's anywhere similar to saying that you're looking for a clone of yourself.
