Haha I think the only quick and easy fix for the staining is the "Thanos approach", especially considering the direction things have been heading in recently.

Honestly, the pronouns bother me too. "They/them" is just not grammatically correct. I say just give us something entirely new, like a "zee/zim" or whatever. The anti-trans folks will hate it just as much, but at least the grammar sticklers, like myself, will be contented.
