Goodness, why do so many people choose internet comment sections to unload their grievances? The article is not even about whether the Japanese are racist and no argument for or against that claim was presented. I just pointed out that I personally have yet to knowingly experience any racism here, which is 100% true.

I'm sure the Japanese have racists just like any other place on Earth, and yes, it's probably worse than some places because the society is so racially and culturally homogenous. I just don't understand why you feel the need to be so snide about it:

"Whilst I am sure this was a learning experience for the author of this article, Japan's many disenfranchised workers who happen to not be fully Japanese in origin don't find it so edifying and interesting."

"...it is not a cute learning curve."

Reminds me of all the obnoxious leftists that I mostly agree with but still can't stand because they're always trying to take a righteous stance against everyone they interact with. You made some good points; just learn how to say it without being disagreeable.
